Holiday Pageant Request...
As we prepare for the Holiday Pageant, we are looking to gather some puppets or stuffed animals for the program. Our play is about a sleep-over in "THE" stable so we're looking for puppets or stuffed animals that might be found in a barn. One we need in particular is a donkey or horse of some kind. The rest can be any kind of logical animal found on a farm. Please let us know if you have something we could borrow for the play...
Thanks!
Thanks!

This Week's Important Info...
- First and Second Grade Families ~ For those of you who got a letter about this week's Life Cycle training for first and second graders, there was an error in the letter. The training will take place this WEDNESDAY, November 7th at 5:30 in George Bray Hall. The date was correct, but the day was wrong. I've heard from several of you already that are coming, make sure I know or the office knows before Wednesday so we can plan accordingly for the meal and supplies... =)
- OWL ~ While we don't have the exact dates pinned down yet, we are starting a list of 4th - 6th graders that are interested in participating in that age group's OWL program. I've heard from several of you on that too, but please let me know as soon as possible if I haven't talked to you. This way we'll know when and for how many to plan...
- UNICEF Collection ~ We've collected over $400 for UNICEF already and several kids told me they had money but hadn't brought it to church yet. If your family collected for UNICEF, make sure you bring the boxes to church or the Annex ASAP so we can send the money to UNICEF... =)
- Chalice Lighting ~ There is a new and easy way to sign up your family to be chalice lighters. We're using Volunteerspot.com that has an on-line calendar. Just go in and pick a date and sign up! =) If you want to sign up for a 9 or 10am service, go to http://vols.pt/LVQQjD, if you want to sign up for an 11am service, go to http://vols.pt/F8zEX2. Just go in and pick a date and sign up! =)

This Sunday in the Children's Program (9/23)
This Sunday, we'll be studying the Jewish High Holy Days that occur at this time of year. We'll be doing some projects that involve plants. If anyone has some long grasses, tall flowers, small branches with leaves or other similar plants that could be harvested from your garden and brought to church, we'd love to have them!
Also, many thanks to all who've shared a snack and drink with us in the Children's Program. If you haven't had a chance to bring some in yet, please do. All our bellies would be so grateful! :)

News and Notes for the Week...
Summer is winding down and we're almost finished with Fall Registration in the Children's Program! YAY! I've got about 9 families left I'm waiting to hear from and we'll be ready for a new school year...
On September 2, we will be having a full multigenerational service where everyone will be upstairs for the entire service. This is our annual Water Communion service so feel free to bring a bit of water from your most important places. This is a great service where we get to see how important water is to all of us...
If you are a volunteer in our program or would like to be, please see the links to the right to sign up for services this fall. We LOVE our volunteers and can't have a successful program without them!!!! =)
See you soon! Laura
